Do you like singing?
You have time to practice one or two evenings every week?
We have several concerts in Vienna every year and a tour in Austria or abroad.
Furthermore we have a lot of smaller performances. Our repertoire consists of clerical and secular works.
We specialize in the golden and silver operetta era and Johann Strauß music.
We sing classical compositions of Mozart, Schubert, Haydn and modern compositions also.
You are bass, tenor, alto or soprano, and like to sing? How about visiting us at our next practice session:
every Monday from 19:00 to 22:00 at Hanuschgasse 3 / III, 1010 Wien, 4th floor (3. Stock) next to the Vienna Opera
Unfortunately, we cannot offer a CHEK in 2009 due to time constraints of our conductor. If you are interested in us, we cordially invite you to come to one of our rehearsals and meet us in action!
Since 2001 we offer our innovative project
CHEK (german: Chorgesang-Einführungs-Kurs) (Choirsinging - Introduction - Course).
Our numerous engagements and tours show that Austrian music and especially Viennese music is much loved in foreign countries. Therefore we are especially searching for young talents.
With "CHEK" we offer young singers a 3-month (each november to february) introductory course "choir singing" under the direction of our conductor Manfred Schiebel.
CHEK will happen every wednesday 18:15 - 19:00 in your rehearsal hall in
1010 Wien, Hanuschgasse 3/3. Stock.
As compensation for various photocopies and sheet music we have to request an amount of 25 Euro (after you successfully finish CHEK and become member of the "Chorvereinigung Jung-Wien" this amount will be credited against the membership fee).
We will be happy to welcome the young singers to our choir.
