He received his first musical education at the Mozart Boys Choir in Vienna, studied the piano at professor Thomas Kreuzberger at the Highschool of Music in Vienna, education for directors at the Highschool of Music and Interpretative Arts in Vienna at professor Karl Österreicher, repetition at Dr. Harald Goertz at the Highschool of Music in Vienna.

Since 1991 he is teacher at the Konservatorium Wien University and works again and again with famous artists, such as Edita Gruberova, Franco Bonisolli, Leo Nucci, Ferruccio Furlanetto, Sona Ghazarian, Peter and Milo Dvorsky, Walter Fink, Hilda de Groote, Jewgenij Nesterenko, Sebastian Reinthaller, the Vienna Boys Choir, but also with famous actors, such als Elfriede Ott or Fritz Muliar.

Since 2002 he also is head of his own course at the University for Music and Interpretative Arts in Vienna at the Institute for Voice Solo and Musical Theatre.

From 1990 to 2004 he worked as choir director of the Wiener Männergesang-Verein and he has been musical director of the Chorvereinigung "Jung-Wien" since 1997.

Performances and concerts have taken him to four continents so far and on CD's he can be heard as pianist, director and organist. His rich repertoire, which comprises all lines of music from "Old Music" to the musical, chanson and Viennese songs, but focusses on the classical and romantic art-song, the chamber music and in the particular the opera, makes him a much demanded and well liked accompanist.
